My Approach
A holistic health coach is a wellness expert and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. As a health coach I encourage people to improve their diet, get quality sleep, make time for physical activity, spend time in nature, manage stress, and create a healthier lifestyle.
My practice is based on the principle that good health involves more than just good nutrition—food is only one way we fuel and nourish our bodies. Other ways include:
These are all equally important to our quality of life and reaching our potential.Our health is impacted by all areas of life. As a coach, I help people examine and improve all these aspects together.
I align with an ancestral or evolutionary perspective on health—a theoretical lens that takes into account the body's natural tendencies and development when looking at modern-day health challenges. And I hold the strong belief that living as close to a natural life as possible— eating real food from natural and sustainable sources; respecting our body's circadian rhythms; getting out into Nature; moving throughout the day; and having meaningful, regular human connections—will result in long-term health.

My Role as Your Coach
As your coach, I am here to help you improve your experience of being alive. My goal is to make you adept at understanding and managing your own health. My motivation to coach you is to reduce your risk of disease, dependence on medical care, negative impact on the natural world, and to see you fully engage in life without physical limitations.
We live in a world with numerous obstacles to healthier living—from sedentary work commutes to seductive convenience foods to fad diets and bad health advice—and the task of transforming your life can be daunting. Together we can learn to navigate these obstacles through integrated lifestyle shifts that support improved performance, health and well-being.
I will help you make sense of the overwhelming amount of health and nutrition information that is available, and focus on what is most important for you. I will be your wellness resource and advocate. I am here to motivate you and to hold you accountable. I can help you identify your individual needs; make informed choices; clarify and attain your goals; identify core issues and remedies; figure out shopping, eating and other logistics; and have minimal impact on the Earth in your choices.
My job as a health coach is to identify areas that are lacking attention and thus cause discomfort and often unhappiness. For example, perhaps things are going great with your career but your diet is suffering as a result.
I can shed light on how seemingly unrelated aspects of your life are affecting each other.
As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole and find solutions that create a positive domino effect.
Our bodies are dynamic organisms, constantly changing and evolving, and each of us is unique. My goal is to find solutions for you that meet your needs, fit into your daily routine, and complement your personality and outlook. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthy living.
It is said that the one great equalizer is time. The time you invest in working with me to improve your health will yield new time to live life optimally!
